WONKA: The Chocotabulator
This was a collaboration between me and the very talented group of people that make up Syyn Labs. Members of the company saw the sculpture “The Spumoni Reducer Separator” I built. A sculpture that made it seem as if physical objects were becoming digital objects which were then augmented virtually and finally reproduced physically again with the new augmentation. I took that concept and applied it to the design. I worked closely with creative director Hector Alvarez from Syyn Labs and other members of the group along with 3D Designer Todd Moyer to design the contraption. The machine, created to celebrate Wonka’s latest Golden Ticket Promotion, was available for viewing live for a limited time in the Wonka window in the Toys R Us at 44th and Broadway in New York’s Times Square.
